OK, here is a request that would probably help many people. Could someone post mp3 of a song before mastering and after it? This would show to many people what a proper mastering can do with a mix.
I mostly work on commercial releases so it's not possible for me to post someone else's property on the web without their approval. There are several sources out their that have a before and after to get an idea what can be done. Better yet, Have someone master your material and attend the session.
