no offense to you but if the mastering engineer had dedicated his master to the replication house and 100,000 CD's were pressed later on finding out the pq coding was totally off and the songs had inproper gaps in between, or some problem like that, he cant blame the replication plant for the dedication to his work. I truly believe when you dedicate a mixdown to a mastering engineer if it's a subtle mistake that you did'nt fix in the first place then how's he to know unless you specify there's even a problem. your threshold may be different from his, as to what is a problem and what is passable. I say byte the bullet and learn a lesson from it. proof your work 10 times before you dedicate it to the mastering house. .it'll save you lots of time and heartache in the long run.
