Hi,
I have a Tascam Porta 02 MkII and I recently got a vintage AKG Telefunken D19C cardioid microphone http://www.radiomuseum.org/r/AKG_d19c_d_19_c.html without the mic cable. The mic has the 3-pin prongs with the small notch on the edge. I think I know what I need, but I just need to make sure and see if anyones knows before I go and buy them. I planned on buying this: http://www.hinton-instruments.co.uk/paprod/cables/vintagemic/kleintuchel.htm
the Klein Tuchel to XLR cable, and then using a female XLR to 1/4" stereo jack adapter to use to hook into the Tascam. Something similar to this: http://www.fullcompass.com/product/340738.html
What do you guys think? Will this make the microphone work? Any advice? Thanks in advance for any help you might be able to share!

That is a unique cable I've never heard of. The link you have seems like its on the right track. I can't seem to find if the thing is phantom powered. Might want to find that out before going right into the mixer. I don't know if you machine has phantom power

From the description you posted, and from the looks of it, it's a '60 broadcast dynamic mic, so no phantom power needed. Also, it does mention "no current needed".

What you describe is a Tuchel connector on the D19C, so the Hinton Instruments adaptor is the correct one. It's a dynamic mic, so no phantom power.
