Hello,

I have a recording problem with microphone for months and I'm going really mad..

4 months ago I bought a Apache ACS-300. With that card, I never could record a sound without an observable electrical background noise. The shop replaced the sound card but the problem persisted. Then I gave it back and bought a Zoltrix Pro6 a month ago. I was using that card without any problem until today. I've recorded sound for many times. But when I tried to record a sound via my microphone today, I saw that the annoying problem came back. (I had not changed anything about the volume settings and drivers.)

You can examine the noise from the sound file:

(Note that when I move something, say, my finger, towards the mic, the background noise increases.)

The mystery is that the Apache sound card caused the exactly the same problem when it was plugged into another computer. It is also interesting that such a recording problem is absolutely not present while recording via my on-board sound card.

I will be thankful for any kind of suggestion/help.

Regards,

"Fahte"

Thanks for your response. I switched a number of electrical goods in my room on and off but they do not seem to have effect on recording. I suspect something "inside" the case is causing the problem.

By the way the problem suddenly disappeared today. Yet this does not mean that it won't reappear.
