Much of the time (there is no such things as always...)

- Kick: SM7, 10" speaker, EV 757, EV RE16 (pick 2)
- Snare: SM57, AT 4041, (pick one)
- OH: ADK A51 Ser III, AT 4041 (pick a pair)
- Ambience if applicable: OM319 (Shure omni boundary mic)
(I haven't mic'd up toms in a year...)

- Gtr Amps: SM57, AT3035, modified Oktava 319, RE16, RE15. (pick 2)
- Bass amp: none-direct feed, combined with a feed through a BlueTube 2 gtr pre or an Ampeg SVT pre (pick whatever suits you)

There are no rules - just options.

Snare Top: 57, 414
Snare Bottom: 414, u87, 4033
OH's: 4050's, sm81's, km84/184
Toms: 421's, D112
HH: sm81, 84/184, 4038, 451
Ride: sm81, 84/184, 451

Gtrs: 57, 421, 414

Bass: DI, 421, RE20

What I use depends on the band and the studio I'm using.....
