I currently own a Sterling ST55 but I constantly need to boost up frequencies in post-production to make my vocal recordings sound more full. I want to get rid of it for a new one but I have a few choices and some criteria.

-Under $400
-Large diaphragm
-Built-in -10dB pad

I was looking at the AKG Perception 400, C3000 B, and the Shure KSM27. Which would you all prefer and why? Why not the others? I am very open to other possibilities as long as you give an explaination. Don't be afraid to be technical and lengthy with me, I can handle it. Thank you very much!
