512 Audio Limelight Dynamic Vocal Microphone
I spotted a Limelight 512 dynamic - it looks like an RE20, so I bought one to see, and they're less than £100 quid now - half what they were 2 years ago.

Hey Everyone,
In the videos I have been producing, we've listened to a number of microphones and how they respond to voice and instruments, but for completeness, we'd not heard them on voices. I'd been working on a little job where I'm creating a stage track for a person I've worked with for years and I always send him the stems, and a guide vocal.
I am setting up my home studio, and would like a recommendation for one or more for two different applications: video game voice over, and clean opera vocals.
Recommendations can either be for one multipurpose microphone, or two sepparate microphones for each application
Here are the conditions.
Sweetwater’s Lynn Fuston and Mark Hornsby with the help of Millennia HV-3R mic preamps, a few assistants and two studio vocalists, evaluated 50 vocal mics at their Russ Berger-designed Studio A.

Once again IMO the cheaper mics hang quite well with the pricey ones, which go all the way up to $9,000.
I love the sound of this mic. I first heard it on an acoustic guitar and had to look for more examples.
Hi folks. It is my first post here. I have been hanging out on other audio engineering forums for many years but this forum looks friendly and non-elitist so I decided to sign up.

Hello all. I'm new here and would appreciate any professional advice.
I'm a Tenor vocalist most recently with the progressive rock group, Stride. I've got an individual who has decided to fund some equipment for a new album I'm working on, and considering I'm going to need a couple of good preamps, and AD/DA, it's got my budget a little tight.
