Are people really being asked to pay 25% more for a black paint job and no performance improvements at all? A "collector's" edition of Neumann's discount mic? An April fools prank? Or a new marketing manager at Neumann USA with huge balls and no shame?
It's "black chrome" not 'black paint'...and if you've ever send anything out to get 'chromed' you'd have an idea of how expensive it is...
Of course...in my circle of friends there's a saying "chrome don't get you home"...but I know I just added some to my ride [it's working really well...there was nothing to really mess with except starting on the cosmetics...hence...additional chrome].

(Ok, I got my TLM-103, now where the hell is that Revell hotrod kit box with all my leftover decals?)
If Neumann were really cool they'd do a model to honor the passing of "Big Daddy Roth" and put out a 'Rat Fink' model...hell, I'd even pay list for one of those puppies.
