Peak level for stereo tracks (vs. . mono)
I'm just mixing down an audio track for a youtube video. What is the maximum db level for each L and R side of the file when normalizing it? It seems that with a mono track you can normalize a higher db.

Is listening to the Mid of a Mid-Side plugin inserted on a stereo track the same as turning on the mono switch on the stereo track? I read some using the word almost. Never really got a confident yes or no.
Really looking forward to understand Mid-Side.
Thanks!
Hi gang,
I'm looking to step up the quality of Di I own and since like always I don't want to spend too much. I'm thinking of buying a stereo DI instead of 2 mono.
This could be the one I choose : Radial ProD2 Passive 2 Channel Direct Box
My concern is, could there be bleeding between the channels if I put 2 completely different sources instead of a stereo source ?
Most stereo synths, samplers and keyboard and rack module versions seem to have a inherent problem.
Hello guys and girls.
This year I am travelling around and I want to record vocals from time to time. Thats why I need a portable handy microphone that I can carry around and of course is able to record Mono (I have a RODE at home but its too much luggage, as I would need a Recording device too).
It does not have to be an ultra professional Mic, but good quality and Handy.
Can anyone verify if (or if not) there have been any updates to Samplitude/Sequoia that enables the assignment of a mono track's output to a single mono device output?

I am looking to record acoustic guitar. A lot of folk and finger picking so low volume playing. Based on what I have read so far I am in the market for Small Diaphragm Condenser(s).
