I've got a question for anybody who has worked in studios around the Sydney area. I have a console that came out of a room there, but don't know the name of the place it was in. All I've got to go on are the patchbay labels, which looks like a pretty complete equipment list:
Trident Trimix console - 32x8x16
Studer A80 24 track
Studer A80 2 track
Lexicon 300, Eventide H3000, TC Electronic 2290, Yamaha SPX90, Lexicon PCM60, Dimension D effects processors
Drawmer, BSS, and Inovonics dynamics processors
Avalon VT737 pre/comp/eq
As well as keyboard, drum, piano, and booth tielines.
Supposedly the console was installed there new around '81 or '82, and taken out around '96. Does the set-up ring a bell for anybody, or is this like asking "I'm looking for a room in NY that had an SSL?"
Thanks, just curious.

People are even seeking highly detailed, historical information about the Australian Music Industry, like subspace here. I'm sorry I wasn't able to help him then. But if he's really interested, he could now visit the AUSTRALIAN EMBASSY ON RO and I would see what I could do. There would be some way of "tracking" this down. Please, I know that was BAD, just leave it OK? Always felt bad about the answer I gave above. At least I was honest, to the point, and was not obtuse in any way.
Nope. Sorry :(
