Have you guys compared Focusrite, TC Eq Sat, Waves Q6 and Pultec EQP1?
I am a big fan of the Q series and now evaluating the others.
Hope to hear ya!

I am anxiously hoping that someone has tried the new UAD EQ called "Cambridge" (obviously an "Oxford" clone). I have not heard much other than the pre-release hype, and want to make sure it is worth the extra cash to add it to my arsenal. I also use the Waves stuff, and have to agree that it is first class. I have the Waves Mastering bundle on my wish list to get the new linear phase EQ, MB compressor and the L2...
It never ends (money-wise) does it??? Hehe...

i've used the cambrige eq in the uad 1 it's killer.
i've also got the waves renissance stuff but i like the cambridge better. very smooth, and warm, it also somehow creates a wider feel to the music.
the pultec in it does as well.
i just wish they'd release the full version it was supposed to be the 30'th of april but they changed to the 15th of may

Hey Alecio,
I have demo'd the Pultec and the waves. I like the Waves. The Pultec does sound good, but the operation of it is not as controllable as other eqs. The pultec plug-in has it's own sound (as it does in the real world), but when I go for eq during mixdown I am usually looking to cut an un-needed frequency or gently boost a specific spectrum, and the lack of control... If you are thinking of getting the UAD package, the Pultec is a nice plus (they also have the Oxford eq I think, which I have heard raves over), but I personally wouldn't buy it as a stand alone item (because it wouldn't be something I used often).
