It's a stereo/balanced cable, depending on the application.

you need to run one of those out of each channel on the KB (L and R) into each channel on the Solo for two mono channels, pan them left and right accordingly.

EDIT: If you KB has unbalanced outs (check the manual) then go get some unbalanced cables (instrument patch cable types) they'll have one less ring on the connector.

the keyboard socket i am taking it from is the "headphone output" socket...
there is only one socket..
there is no separation of L and R.. just the one headphone socket :(

any ideas?

Get a splitter from TRS (stereo connector) to dual-mono TS (unbalanced).

though there is a connection called "assignable jack"

The assignable jack may not do anything because you may have not assigned anything to it. I tacked a link into my previous post of the cable for your headphone jack.

So i should get what mccheese suggested...
then i sohuld set the audio tracks to mono.. and have them left and right (1 and 2) respectivly.

If i do this... will i maintain the panning of the audio coming in?

Hmm, I was going to look it up and see if I could find a manual, but there's no .PDF for that one. :lol:

I'm 99.9% sure that's the cable you'd need, then run it into two channels like I said, pan them hard left and right and you should be set. Just make sure to watch your level coming out of the headphone jack so you don't get distortion.
