Wow. Sonar has to be the most amazing peice of software. The built in compressor and multiband EQ is out of this world.
So is Sonar one of the standards in the industry or what?

Check out this thread at the Sonar forum........makes me glad I started with it instead of PT. I have a hard copy in my control room in case anyone asks if I have PT. After all, it's what it sounds like that matters :D

The Industry Standards are Pro Tools and Nuendo. However, Sonar is quickly catching up. The next rev due this Fall should put it at parity with the others. Wether the industry will adopt it is another issue. ProTools has been around a long time and a lot of people have invested in its hardware/software approach.
Sonar's midi implementation is vastly better than both of the above and makes it an easy mark for music creators that want to quickly mock up an arrangement.
