Is it possible to quantize an audio file using Pro Tools 5? All I want to do is be able to lay down some simple drum tracks using sounds from a Yamaha S80. Thanks!
I still have PT 5 but its been a few years since I booted it up. I did a fair amount of MIDI and it worked but it is very basic. I believe there is a quantize function but not certain.
I didn't compose MIDI with Pro Tools 5. I recorded the MIDI in realtime syncing the MPC 60 to SMPTE via the very poor setup Pro Tools had .
I used external keyboards a lot. I recorded the synced analog into Pro Tools and then did all the audio editing in PT.
