just curious - has any one of you had the opportunity to compare the exact speakers you want to test (but have not bought yet :) ) in the exact same room with the exact same room acousics?

(i am living on this small island called Singapore where no one shop would have questeds, Genelecs and mackies in the same room for customer demo)

I split time between LA and Seattle and no, I've yet to find a place to listen the monitors I am most interested in side by side. I have been trying to audition Dynaudio (Air 15 or 20) and ADAM (s2-3) and not anything terribly rare.

Your best hope (and mine and likely many others) is to narrow down as much as possible to two or three choices through what listening you can do and then arrange to have some sent in on demo. Likely to cost you at least shipping (beyond security deposit).

As for my progress, I really liked the Air15s I heard but that was a couple weeks ago. After listening to the ADAM S2, I am really curious to listen to the S3s. The ADAMs stick out in my head as the better pair but that could easily be cause I heard them the most recently. I listened to the ADAMs against a pair of Westlakes (10.1 or some such model) and Westlakes didn't really sit well with me. However, there some to be some question as to whether they were setup correctly - the low-mid and down seem to be missing quite a bit and the sales guy didn't seem to know much about the console or setup in the demo room. Wanted to listen to the PMC or even the Air6s they had in the room but to no avail (not set up.)
