Hey all...a two part question...

I currently have a 61 key triton workstation. Switching over from playing my rhodes to this thing is pretty painful- the key action is awful. So I want weighted keys.

Question 1: anyone using that new m-audio 88 key hammer action controller? It looks amazing, and at $500...a good deal.

Question 2: so I have a friend who wants to buy my triton (his ASR died) and I will probably be getting a triton rack to go with the m-audio.

The problem is, I have been having a bitch of a time getting sysex to work with the triton in Pro Tools. No one seemed to be able to get me going on the DUC either, so I thought I'd try here.

Maybe I'm understanding sysex wrong...but I'm hoping to use sysex so that I can "dump" settings to an individual MIDI track (e.g. drums) and also create a new MIDI track (e.g. organ). When I play back the MIDI files, the triton will be able to play both simultaneously as audio? That way I can monitor my compositions and then eventually solo each track and bounce them to audio?

I seem to be able to dump the sysex ok, PT recieves the sysex (grey blocks on the MIDI tracks) but when I play back the MIDI track- it only plays whatever program is selected on the triton, not what should be selected in the sysex (if I manually change the program before playback, say from drums to jazz guitar, PT doesn't change it back to drums which I thought it would).

If anyone can help, I would much appreciate it...my PT tech support is over, and the triton manual is a joke.

THANKS!
