I'm not using any MIDI with mine but I'm still loading 'fixes' and upgrade drivers so I havent delved into it much yet.... Mac OS 10.6.7. It easily integrated my existing projects from PT8.

Midi works fine for me as it does with many people on that thread. That being said, I would much rather work in Sonar than PT when it comes to midi. PT is still a bit archaic in that regard.
PT9 is essentially PT8. They merely switched the dependency from Digi/Avid hardware to iLok.
