pro tools 9

Hey guys,

Hi,

I have just setup a new HP computer based on AVIDs "requirements" in conjunction with Pro Tools 9, Focusrite Sapphire 56, and a Mackie Blackbird. All computer settings have been set as Avid recomended on their Windows 7 Optimizations setup.

This is the first time using Pro Tools but I'm on day 2 with everything up and running and recording except...

How are you liking Pro Tools 9?

Is it solid/ stable?
What OS are you using?

How are the MIDI features?

Looks like there are some Avid shows around the country. Please tell us what we are missing and/or what everyone who has Pro Tools HD will gain from Pro Tools 9.

I just received this in my mail from AnnexPro. If any of our Vancouver members are going, be lets us know the whole story?

I need to get a hold of Pro Tools 9 so that i can use my Pro Tools 101 DVD with it as I'm studying it in college just now but i dont have an m box to use with pro tools 8, is there a place i can get a demo of pro tools 9 or whatever ? let me know please if you can help. I got the Waves v8 Demo to test some of the Plug-ins, that I want to buy
if I like 'em, but there are a few of them which don't start properly and cause my DAW to crash and I wonder why. Maybe you can help.

I recently installed Pro Tools 9 on my Mac. I've been using Logic 9, but felt the need to give Pro Tools a shot. My interface is an E-MU 0404 USB and I've never had any problems with it in Logic. When I was setting up PT, I went to the Hardware Setup page and under "Peripherals" my E-MU was not there.

If you are a home recording enthusiast or even a professional recording engineer, this news is for you.
