What's the deal with Alécio Costa? Was he asked to leave and if so why? Why was my post deleted when I asked about him? I consider a lot of these folks on RO my friends. I feel the members that frequent this place have a right to know what's going on. Alécio gave me the impression that he was removed as monitor without his knowledge. I'm going to stick up for him as I don't see a lot of others having the balls to do so. I think that they're afraid of the heavy handed politics that often goes on here. I mean why even get involved in that mess? I never knew him to say a bad word about anyone. If my post gets removed for asking a simple question about a friend then I really need to ask myself if I should remain on this board. If we don't have the guts to stand with or at the very least inquire about our friends then what kind of human beings have we become?

John,
Alecio has not been banned or blocked from RO. He is still a member in good standing, he is no longer a moderator however. Your friend is still here if he wishes..

He is lying to you John, Alecio resigned.. plain and simple.. then when his resignation was accepted, he changed his mind. He was afforded several days to rectify the situation that led up to this action and he did not take the opportunity to do so.

I feel the members that frequent this place have a right to know what's going on.

Members don't vote on who is or isn't a moderator.. RO is privately owned, we do not ask for dues or member fees.. therefore we can administrate it as we see fit ...

Alecio threw a hissey fit and tendered his resignation and when it was accepted, he then changed his mind. Now he is trying to rally public opinion to force RO administration to change our minds .... that never works. The whole thing went on behind the scenes in the mods corner and I am not willing to discuss what it was about. That is private RO business and has nothing to do with how the BBs functions. This is all private RO business and is really not the business of the members . RO is privately owned and we have the right to administrate RO in any way we feel is necessary...

I value you contributions here John and I don't wish to see you leave RO but the decision is final. the whole thing is finished business and we are currently in the process of bringing several new mods on the board. If you want to talk about it, please PM me John.. I sent you 2 PMs now regarding this but you haven't replied.. Kurt
