Howdy
I have developed a free VST plug with Synth Edit. :)
It only works in a window host. Like eg Cubase or Wavelab.
It is a Compressor - Equaliser kind of a plug. Called JP22. ;)
It's main purpose is not to prove that Jp22 was right in his
argumentation about dynamics. :)
I know some of you on this forum sometimes uses soft plugs.
My question is if anybody can try it out and give an opinion
on using it in a mastering chain?
Thanx in advance.
Here is the download link.

A couple things that bugged me about it and make the learning curve a bit slower than other plugs:
- no bypass on the EQ (for those of us who don't want the extra dynamics   )
- no numerical values as ref. points on any of the knobs/faders (ie: where's zero? What ratio am i compressing at? how long is the release time set to? How many dBs am i boosting/cutting X frew. by? etc...)
- EQ faders are rather slow to move (minor/cosmetic, i know... picky bastard ain't i? :P)After a few minutes of toying with it, i had some fairly respectable results mastering an old mix of mine... haven't tried it on any individual instrument tracks yet...
Definitly sounds better than most of the home-brew VSTs i've tried...

Thanx for trying it out and for your comments. :)
Well this plug is a pre phase experimental state, with a rather limited GUI.
But I will take your remarks in consideration, for the future development. :)
