Hello all, I have a number of different plugins of the VST and DX flavor, I am often adding to this collection both VST's and VSTi's on a daily or weekly basis. The I also have a number of systems which I use for running different plugs and audio apps. All computers are networked on a 100Mbps lan with a server as central storage point. As each most plugins are very small files would it seem alright to have each client computer look to a directory on the server so that I do not have to continue updating the other units once I update the master (located on the server). Keeping soundfonts, samples etc. local seem like a good idea though as files of this type seem to be much bigger in size.

Once I load a plugin does it get loaded to memory on the local machine or is it being read off that directory at all times?

Thanks
