It arrived last Thursday and sat taunting me until Sunday...too much work, couldn't get to it sooner. Finally yesterday afternoon I ran my U87 through it. It felt like I purchased a new mic as well. Kurt, you were so right. The clarity, depth and richness the VMP gives is fantastic. The various pads, bright/air, deep/cut, and flat settings all imparted various musically usable characteristics to the sound. I can forsee this getting a lot of use.
