hey everyone,

i was getting kind of tired of the plugins that came with pro tools le when i bought it, so i recently purchased some Waves plugins. i bought the diamond bundle, the musicans bundle, and the transform bundle, as recomended by the guy at guitar center. so now i have a ton of new plugins and its great! i was wondering if lots of other people use the Waves plugins, which ones they use for what, tutorials, good presets, etc. if anyone has any information about any of these, then let me know! thanks so much.

You bought both the musician's bundle AND the diamond bundle? Why? The diamond bundle has all the plugs in the musician's bundle, so this seems superfluous. Also, the transform bundle is superfluousness defined. If there's any way you can take the extra plugs back, you definitely should. You might want to come here for advice in the future instead of guitar center.

I'm sorry that I didn't reply to your other post about which plugins to buy; I must not have seen it. If I would have seen it, I could have saved you some trouble and cash. I really think that buying all those plugs is a big waste of money. As I said, the musician's bundle and the transform bundle will be completely useless to you and you probably would be satisfied with the platinum bundle (or possibly even the gold bundle) instead of the diamond. As far as tips and tricks, the waves plugs are just like any other plugs or the hardware devices they emulate; using them is just like using any plug. I know that's probably not what you wanted to hear, so check [[url=http://[/URL]="http://www.waves.co…"]this[/]="http://www.waves.co…"]this[/] out for something more satisfying.

In my experience the only people that own Diamond, Transform and Musician Bundles from Waves are those that are rich or those that are stupid, or even those that one thinks are stupid. Anyone who doesn't realise that the plugs included in the above mentioned bundles are already available as part of the diamond bundle is clearly silly coming here asking questions about pirate software that's obviously been downloaded from the internet.

ok classify me as rich and/or stupid. ive had great experience in dealing with guitar center sales reps in the past, and figured that i could trust them. obviously the guy i worked with this time was just trying to make a sale and he almost got away with ripping me off. i did take them back and was able to get my money back, luckily. i didn't download them from the internet anywhere, i didnt even know that was possible. recording is just a hobby of mine, i love learning and practicing. and thats why forums like these are so beneficial, you can learn from those who know much more than you, and they can help to prevent mistakes, as well as save you money. so thank you.

yeah, after i read the replies to this post and really realized what the sales rep at g.c. did, its needless to say i quite pissed off. i was glad that when i took it back i just explained the situation and they didnt give me a hard time. youre right though, usually they dont take software back. i am enjoying the diamond bundle, i havent had much time to use it, ive been pretty swamped lately. but i look forward to going through some of the tutorials on the waves site and playing around with it. thanks for the help everyone.
