Hey Chris,
....well what can i say?....

My own Forum , cool...

Yes , you have a vmp-4000e on its way. It's held up by customs i see .
Shouldn't be too long now.

I'm now using 'JJ' tubes which have even improved things further as far as bandwidth and microphony are concerned.Same company/tube as 'groove tube' i believe.

Been so busy trying to keep up with things.

Maybe i should start a Sebatron diary?
Do you think it's a goode idea?

....I got so many things to say...... :D

Here's one:

Don't buy Behringer.

....burn it!

Doc , you beat me at my own Forum.
Thanks mate! lol

Are there still Australians in Australia?

Of course there are.
They're called Aboriginies and they make some really cool music.I just heard some the other day.

DIGIRIDOO.... what an instrument man .... think about it.Just a drone.......
They've got these sticks like claves , beautiful stuff.
Some of it superseeds 'Rock + Roll'.

Bass and Drums .......every culture has it in one form or another.

Kurt, there’s always new stuff going on.
Well , as you know I have the vmp range which includes the basic mic pre block.
Then the much awaited THORAX is due out soon. This project has been held up quite a while because of vmp demand but i'm pretty much back on track.Actually as we speak I’m putting some final tweeks into the circuit.
Compression is such an artform …..it’s not funny.I can’t even joke about it. :D

‘THORAX’ may actually be issued as:
1/ ‘THORAX’ economy
2/’THORAX’ delux

Delux has an extra input transformer so the compressor half can be used as a pre-amp as well.
It also has extra keying facilities , and another phantom switch ( 2 in total ) so you can plug condensers into the second half .All in all a very versatile unit.
I have a small run to be completed this weekend ( all pre-sold ) then I go for a revision and a larger run.

After ‘THORAX’ I’m back onto my stereo bus compressor , the veqc-2000.
I’ve made a few changes to that one and I’ll have to revise circuit layout and front panel artwork.

Then I have ‘CRANIUM’ , another two channel pre-amp with switchable solid state and valve configuration ….. switchable in series or parallel as well.Maybe two to three months before anyone sees that one.

After ‘CRANIUM’ I might get back into ‘filtration’ for a while.
I have some amazing class A parametric-EQ circuits that I’ve cranked up to resonance.
These are extremely flexible circuits and will surface in one form or another.

R and D is taking place all the time down here.
Still haven’t found a good solid-state/chip based front end to take the place of an input transformer.Maybe I’ll try and stack some stuff up in parrallel , gotta get ‘round to trying it out.

….but now I gotta get back to work…..

Hey Kev, c’mon now

..you know you’re invited down here anytime you want…
In fact I have a question for you , go see new thread….

Now everyone....
Just stick to the rules and i won't boot you off lol

THE RULES ARE (…as at 18 July 2003….) :

…..and this esp. applies to all ‘Tech Talk’ type people:

*No talk of intergrated chip circuitry ( Unless instigated by the Sebatron himself…)
…..esp. SSM type chips , which as a repair Tech’s point of view are a bit of a drag to locate.

*No talk of stupid NEVE clones or anything like that.
Not that they are stupid , but let’s say .ummmmm, UNPROGRESSIVE.

*No input transformer banter.

*Only high rail voltages permitted.

*Strictly Class ‘A ‘ discrete circuitry..go check it out … http://www.sebatron.com

Of course this is all very tongue in cheek ,
What I mean to say is if anyone disagrees with me , I’ll kick ‘em off!
..and I certainly don’t want to get washed up talking about bloody fish and chips or get out the calculator.

I’M TALKING ‘BOUT SOUL!!!!!

Cold in Romania? Are you joking. It is a hot summer, and I have to decide to power only the equipment that I absolutely need for my work because they produce so much heat.
Also when I build equipment lots of things are consuming power: two computers, scope, soldering iron and other toys.
It would be good to rain.

P.S. Now that you have your own forum I hope you will not forget us, the people from Techtalk and you will come back sometimes.

Hey Mike ,
yeah i lost the banner in all the emails
but i just found it
I'll get it to Chris in the next day or two.

P.S. Now that you have your own forum I hope you will not forget us, the people from Techtalk and you will come back sometimes.

Of course i'll be back Chris.I should hang out more.
It's just that i'm not a real big fan of copying circuits and i think there should be more exploration going on up there.
I mean how many 1176's are there out there?
Besides , i find it hard to express ideas about design without sounding too wacky and some electronic gurus got the textbook out.

PRR is real good value though. :tu:
