Check the "Digital Audio Recording" forum (where this should have been posted) and you will see a sticky thread that lists tons of free ones. I personally recommend anything from Digital Fish Phones, but those are made to be somewhat colored. If clean is what you mean there are some other freebie's, such as the "C3 Multiband Compressor" by Slim Slow Slider, or the "Classic Compressor" by Kjaerhus Audio.

Also in the hardware department there certainly better choices, which range from an Alesis 3630 to a Groove Tubes Glory Comp.
