I'm new to recording. I hope I post this in the right forum.

I'm in a band and I'm planning on buying a harddisk recorder. My eye has caught the Yamaha aw1600 and aw2400. My question is: Are these any good? at first I wanted to buy a PreSonus firepod, but this is more mobile so my choice goes out to this sort of recorder. Is there a big difference (in quality) between these and let's say the Boss br1600?
