I have been using Adobe Audition (formerly Cool Edit) for recording and editing. I have become decently efficient at using it, and it gets done pretty much everything I need it to.

However, I rarely see it mentioned on these boards. I was wondering how it measures up to other digital multitracking / editing programs, and if there is a reason that not too many people seem to use it?

i can only speak for myself... to name it in short - it's by far to simple...

i am into logic... super strong midi (which is important in my case!) and great audio, too. lots of very decent plugs and instruments, very good customizeable keyboard shortcut support, for ultra quick workflow...etc etc. (but i think they added that in 1.5 of audition)

and i find it often in "pro enviroments" which is a reason for me too, to use it. as i am often use different facilities... (and pro tools, of course... )
