Hi there, i've been browsing these forums quite abit recently, but this is my first post. I already have some very basic gear for recording electric guitar, which at some point i will be looking to upgrade, but at the moment I am looking to record acoustic instruments. In particular acoustic guitar and vocals. Things I have: DAW (Audiophile 192) running Cubase se 3, and a GL2 Allen and Heath mixing console.

Basically I am looking for recomendations of a microphone/s for use on acoustic guitar and vocals, and also pre's if people think that i should be looking for some instead of the built in pre's on the mixing desk. At the moment I could spend around $1000, but i would be willing to save if you think it would be worth it :) . Many thanks
