Audio interface for an iMAC

Hello all,

I am looking for a simple solution to record acoustic guitar (perhaps a bit of electric too) though an iMAC (2.0 GHz processor with 1GB memory) using GarageBand. I’ve been playing for quite some time and just want a simple/inexpensive solution to capture my practice sessions.

I’d like to be able identify an audio interface to support the following:

1 Condenser mic: MXL 990 w/XLR connector and 48V phantom power
A pair of M-Audio BX5 powered studio monitors w/ TRS connectors
Instruments (acoustic and electric guitar)

Which audio interface could you recommend?
