i've been using an akai dps24 for a couple years and everything is selfcontained.

I don't know what what system to go with, i want something with easy monitor sending and sounds good. i'd like to have 8 mic preamps built in with 8 or so more balanced inputs for more preamps. i've been lookin at MOTU and they seem to have (on paper) great monitor sends/mixing capability and

I also have no clue on which software to use, digital performer is sounding pretty good right now, but no clue on the others.

i'm going to be using drumagog a lot so i'll need something that will support a sound replacing plugin
