At $20, the A-T is probably better than most anything else in that price range. I can't think of any other serious mic manufacturers who make a lav for $20.
Are you recording to a portable audio recorder, or video camera? If you've read any of the reviews you've probably seen that it won't work with certain devices. iPhones in particular, because they (iPhones) have a different pinout. This is not a fault with the A-T mic as some of the uninformed reviewers would have you believe.
