computer recording

i have a Korg d16xd mixer and a simple creative sound blaster augity2 sound card and i use Sonar . if i want to record live drums the only way to do it is to record the drums all at once what would i need to be able to sereate each drums as it records into the software. this is a must

if you want buy another soundcard

You can't separate the different drums if they've been recorded on two tracks. You need a sound card with multiple inputs to do multitrack recording. I use a MOTU 24i which has 24 mono inputs. I sold my fraudigy card on eBAY and used the money to buy a pizza.
