Hi all,

I have a problem - I bought a PC for recording - it came with the above sound card, except Dell thinks it should not have - therefore, no installation CD! They will not send me one out as they could not authourize it, due to sending the PC out by mistake with a 'free' sound card.

Now I need to re-install and cannot - Creative have said I need to contact Dell - yeah!

Can anyone suggest anything? Point to a link for me to download the installation gubbins etc?

Your help would be very much appreciated.

Regards,

OK, here goes... First shut down your computer, open it up, and remove the sound card. Turn on the comp, and go into the device manager. (To get there in XP: On the start menu, right-click my computer, select manage, and then select device manager under system sools. In 2k: On the desktop, right-click my computer, click properties, and select device manager under hardware.) Then delete any hardware in the list that resembles your card and delete any unknown devices. Download the drivers from Creative. Then shut down your computer, reinsert the card, and restart your computer. When you get back into windows, it should say something about found new hardware. Just click cancel. Now install your drivers by opening the file you got from Creative. If you're still having problems just send me a screen-shot of device manager. Hope this helps!
