I am going to sound ignorant on this topic. I am sorry ahead of time. I read on a post that the Yamaha DM-2000 output is only 18db. It also said that there is a mod orexpansions board that will put the board at 24db. It said that this give the board more headroom.

My question is
1. Is this true
2. Does it matter that the board outputs at only 18db
3. What does a SSL or NEve output at
4. If it does make a difference in the mix, where can I get the ungrade from. I don't see it on the Yamah website unless I misserd it
