I was recently considering putting dimmer lights in my home studio. I wanted DJ type lights; where I would buy a lighting console and have many multi colored lights attached to them. Then I could program the lights to strobe and dI'm constantly.
After doing some research, apparently the dimming of lights (which is the cutting of electrical voltage) causes a buzz every time the light is not at normal wattage. To worsen the problem, this "buzz" is very very silent and can pretty much only be heard during the mastering phase!
Does anyone have any suggestions on how I could have dimming lights or a light console in studio that won't effect the electrical signals in a small studio room?

Thanks,

Lenny
