For example: If I had an electronic drum kit (eg a DD502) and fancied expanding it, would I be able to, for example, plugin a Roland Ride cymbal (dual trigger) into the brain, and then send the Midi out to a computer and trigger samples with BFD2, utilising the dual trigger nature of the pad?

If not, then would plugging in a single trigger pad (from another brand, again eg Roland) into the brain work as it would with the original pad?

Last thing, is there anyway to expand an out-of-the-box kit to work with another, added on pad that could be used, for example, an extra cymbal? Or is the solution to that to buy another brain module that has more inputs?

Sorry for all the questions, I'm just trying to learn what my options are when it comes to electric kits.
