Page 68 of the manual says I can use pan when rehersing track bouncing to 7/8, but I can't make it work. I have followed all of the instructions (select 1 through 6 to 7/8, etc.), but I'm doing something wrong. Any ideas where I've messed up?
Not ever having used that unit, I looked at the bouncing to 7/8 diagram on p141 in the manual. It shows that the pan controls will be active on replayed tracks 1 - 4 when bouncing down to 7/8. Is this the mode you mean?
Bear in mind that on this sort of digital mixer, the pan controls are just number (value) inputs to the digital mixing processor and the actual signals do not pass through the controls. So with only 4 pan controls on the front panel, these get assigned to inputs or replay tracks depending on what mode the mixer is in. The p141 block diagram is a bit misleading in this respect in that it shows pan controls both in the paths of inputs to busses and also replay to busses, but exactly what you get depends on the mode you are using.
