Hi there

Does anybody knows of a good multitrack recording software which will work on Windows Xp pro? (free protool does not work on that Window version)

I just need basic eq, dynamics and rev as plugins

I would appreciate any suggestions

Audacity will work but no real time effects. Audacity does support VST effects tho. There is also Kristal which is limited to 8 tracks I think. Check http://kvr-vst.com they have some free vst hosts that might work as multitrack software. Not sure. Cubase SE is only $150.00 cdn, $99us.

I just downloaded Kristal a week of so ago and its not bad, very similar to Cubase in many ways. Its actually 16 tracks which makes it somewhat usable but I'm having problems getting it to recognize other vst's. All in all its not a bad freebie at all.
