Quick question, I want to buy an audio interface so I can record my vocals with my MXL 909 Vocal Condensor, but I have a budget limit of $200. I head that M-Audio Mobile Preamp was the best out there for that price. I wanted to know if that is true or if there are better options? Thank You 8-)

For $200 you can do better than the Mobile Pre USB, although very little in that price range is going to give you the sound quality and headroom of some of the more expensive offerings.

The Tascam US-144, Alesis iO|2, M-Audio Fast Track Pro and E-MU 0404 USB all have 24-bit ADCs as against the 16-bit of the Mobile Pre, and have various other features that may be useful to you.

The new PreSonus AudioBox USB, which is due for release soon, looks an interesting product.

For further ideas, go to a US audio supplier site and list the USB interfaces in ascending price order. Consider FireWire devices as well, even if your computer is not natively fitted with FireWire, since FireWire adaptors are cheap.
