How good is the M-Audio Duo Preamp compared to other pres in it's price range ( $200-300).
I have one to try out, I'm using it on vocals with an Audio Tech 4033 mic and a Zoom mulitrack recorder.
It doesn't seem to be any better than the pres in the mulitrack. I'm looking to get an external preamp, but needless to say I want to get one that offers some improvment on the multitrack's internal pres.
Consdering we are talking budget pres in this price range...how much better can I expect to do than the M-Audio Duo ?
