I have a couple questions about the Mackie HDR 24/96 hard disk recorder:
First of all, how many of you have had expiernce with it.
Is it it possible to use the D8B from Mackie with this hard disk recorder? (Digital 8 bus)
The Mackie recorder comes with vga out and has build in editing software.. Are there any plugins available for the mackie? and if there is. Are they any good? I have heard that the discontinued digital 8 bus can run Pro Tools plugins.
I have been thinking about buying a Mackie setup, whether I am gonna go with a digital mixer, I am not sure yet. But it is a lot of money, and I want to be sure that I am making the right choise. What would you suggest I do? Look into a different system ? Get a Mackie? or stick with my digi design 001
thanks,

Leon, Plug ins don't work with a recorder ... they are part of
Leon,
Plug ins don't work with a recorder ... they are part of the mixer .... The VGA editing part of the recorder only extends to cut and paste, waveform editing those types of things.
Yes, the HDR/24-96 will run with the DB8. Both Mackie products ..
