Hi Guys,
This is a Midi related question...

Till now ive have been using a Drum Module (roland td6) with a 1 line output and am unable to turn up volume of the snare... or correct any parts once track is recorded

I was recently told about being able to use a Drum Module with a recording program using Midi... and then be able to edit each trigger that was recorded thru the midi & being able to process the midi recording so its perfectly in time... i was pretty sure this could be done with Cubase or Nuendo,

"however". . was also told that using ur recording program you are able to change the sound triggered? by taking a sample of a snare from say for example a nickleback album and replacing it with a touch of a button.

this sounds like a drummers dream?.. anyone out there that knows a bit more about this? I want to get my head stuck into it... i have never took the time to fully understand how to use midi... but this would definitely be an incentive.

this is a very intense topic, the possibilities are nearly endless...
midi if fully used and understood can be extremely powerfull.

i suggest also check stuff like BFD, Battery you are on the right track, yes it is possible to alter the velocity, timing and so on of every note / hit and then replace samples as you whish... do a little homework first, check out the drummodule sites of BFD, Battery (softwares that work as drummodules in any VST, AU apps), there is some usefull info about how they work! so you will understand more about the principle, then you can ask more specific questions, and i am happy to help...

cheers
