hello people,

I'm wanting to buy some studio monitors and i havnt a large budget to spend on them $1300 US. I was looking at purchasing the following:

1. EMES pink
2. EVENT precision 8 or 6

They will be used for mastering and mixing. Does anyone have any opinions on these monitors or any suggestions on other ones in that price range?

I own a pair of Event monitors, and I am considering buying another pair. I was impressed with the EMES pink their sound is really good and very accurate in the mid ranges.
Best thing to do is go to your Local Recording Store... listen to the speakers and compare them. It's like buying clothes.. you gotta make sure they go with your taste.

I would seriously consider this option. I own a pair and they are very straight forward speakers. They tell you the truth in the mid range I find...sometimes ugly truth, but that's the whole point, isn't it...Maybe a bit shy on the lows but any speaker of this type is, I reckon.
All in all - great value for money
