i have the same motherboard.
don't use the first (next to the AGP slot) and the last (at the bottom of the case, for the neo2 i think it's color orange or something) pci slots.
slots 2,3, and 4 should be fine.
also, if you aren't using your serial and parallel ports, network card(s), etc, disable them in the bios -- this will free up their irq's.
you can also see the hardware irq settings while the computer is booting up.
after the BIOS POST, there is a screen which flashes for a second where the irq's are listed. when you see this screen, press the "pause" button on your keyboard, so you can read it. this will show you the real hardware irq assignments in your system

The only way to know that is to out the card in and check to see what IRQ it's using and if it shares with another IRQ.
Most of the time these days, especially with XP, any slot should do.
In the long run it's best to not put it next to the AGP Slot or next to a video card.
So, put the card in, boot into windows and install the driver. In the device manager locate the IRQ listings and see what IRQ it is using and if it is sharing with another device.
If you have any questions regarding IRQ's when you get there post back.
