Also USB out of the computer to the mixer ?? I would rather have an audio interface output to a line in of the mixer.
It's hard to figure out what you are asking. Your needs are the only directives to how you're gonna develop your setup. ;)

Any good dynamic will do... 57, 58, Audix OM, Senny 409, 421, EV RE20, etc.

Adding to the list of Donny, Sennheiser E609. But for studio, rehearsal and live, you can't go wrong with an sm57.
They are selling sm57 at Futureshop and Bestbuy now a day, in Quebec... ;)

Is this a setup you already have? If not,... this is pretty cool http://jamhub.com/. Sort of an all in1 if you get the one that does sd card/usb recording as well.
