Hi everyone
I have an Oktava MKL5000, but I want to experiment with different valves. The problem is that it uses 6C15P, about which it's very difficult to find information. Anyone know compatible alternatives? I've so far found a lot of potentially disastrous misinformation on the Internet.
Any ideas?
Thanks
John Stafford

6C15P is an error on the Oktava site. When transcribed from cyrillic it should be 6S15P or 6C15pi (pi is often used so people don't assume that P needs to be changedd to R). It's a bit of a silly mistake for a Russian company to make!
I also wonder what sort of result the 6S45P would give. It has a better spec. and is often used in hi-fi, but I'm not sure how it would work in a mic that's engineered to introduce valve distortion.
Thanks

I've e-mailed Oktava, and if anyone should need this info in the future, ignore their website.
The replacement is the commonly available
6AK5 pentode or with russian 6G1P.
