i have to disagree. i hear that a lot, that the 'elderly' should not be playing rock... i think musicians should get better and better at what they do with more experience... though i find in many cases that creativity may dwindle (stones!!!), and some vocal chops may diminish, but really, would you ever hear someone say that of a blues musician? or a classical musician? 'oh, yeah! that B.B King! he's way too old to play the blues! same with R.L Burnside! they should give it up!' seems ridiculous, and i hope to be a rock musician till they put me in the grave. in fact, i will be buried with my 1957 les paul jr.!!!!!!!!!!

I do very much agree with you BDM. With all of that said what do you think about Queen + Paul Rodgers new album 'Cosmos Rocks'? I mean Brian May is one of my favorite guitarists and everything but for his age and experience you'd think that he would have some more reach into the creative area, although his riffs and licks on the new album fit perfectly fine. It just seems like maybe I was expecting a little more. The man has accomplished quite a bit though.
