Hey guys,
looking at the 6176, I'm sure some of you have it.
I want to use it to track some things, but also to use the 1176 as an insert on some of my mixes. It looks like all the controls are fixed values/rotary knobs on this box. But I'm not sure... is this case? this would make for nice easy recalls, if I used it in mixing.
Although it could be annoying at other times as well.. Either way I'm curious. Someone fill me in!
cheers,
-dan

The setup for the 1176 on there is a rotary version of the original's controls. The original has 4 push buttons for ratio, no "threshold" knob, and dials for attack, release, input, output.

I've used the 6176 over a dozen times now and have been very satisfied with it's performance for what it is. I prefer my ViPre and old 1176 combo better, but the 6176 is well worth owning. I might even own one myself one day thou I think I rather have the 2-1176 instead as I would get much more use out of two more 1176 compressors.

McCheese, what about the attack and release setting they look like there are fixed positions on these rotary knobs. Is this the case? or can u turn them just like regular knobs?
