Hello People,
Recently I've recorded a show as a matrix (sbd+audience microphones).
The soundguy used a digital soundboard Yamaha.
It was an acoustic show.
On the loud parts, there are some clicks and clipping (soft) as it was a vinyl.
How could I remove that ? (remove or attenuate)
I know there are some plugins, but I've never used these kind of.
If some of you have already experienced good result with some plugins, please let me know.
Thanks.
PS : I can use PC or Mac...

Use a "click" fixer plugin. Steinberg has one with Wavelab, Sony has one with their Noise Reduction suite and there are many more on the web some of them freeware and some of them very reasonably priced. The best ones have an audition feature which allows you to listen to what you are removing to make sure it is not percussion or part of the music.
Best of Luck!

Adobe Audition (1.5) has this feature built in. It is a lot of work however, because you have to zoom in really close to make sure you don't affect other parts. Luckily navigation in Audition is quite simple.

The ones that I was referring to are more or less automatic and you don't have to go click by click to remove them There is a really nice plugin for Adobe Audition called ClickFix in case you want to do it automatically. Here is the website http://www.jdklein.com/clickfix/. It works with Adobe Audition as well as Cool Edit Pro.

If you have Sound Track Pro it has excellent sound restoration tools.
Also if you are also into video editing and DVD authoring, Apple has an amazing upgrade deal.
The apps that come with the Final Cut Pro Suite, will no longer be available seperately. If you own one of the apps you can upgrade to the suite for $199.
There are still some of the apps on store shelves, just not the Apple Stores.
I found STP in my local CompUSA a couple of weeks ago.

I've just had a look a their demonstration video about "sound soap 2".
At first point, it seems that it distroys a lot the original sound.
Maybe the exemples were not the kinf of files I plan to restore.
I will try their demos.

You have to listen to carefully.
I dont think SoundSoap would fix that.

And do a search on the WWW.
What you are asking to do is not that hard but you will have to spend some money to do it or you can take it to someone who has the software and knows how to use it and have them do your restoration but again it will cost you money.
Most of the replies you have gotten are good ones.
Have you heard the audio sample? What do you think of it?
