Is there any way I could reset my E-MU XBoard 49 Key? I bought it hardly used from Guitar Center, and when I play a note on the controller it is just slightly delayed when it comes through my speakers. I am pretty sure I set it up right, and installed everything correct. Could I reset it? Is it possible? Maybe that would fix the very slight delay. Anything adivce would be of help.

Also what is good/great software for beats and good synth sounds.

The delay is most likely not due to a problem with the keyboard. It's probably a problem or setting somewere in the system. Give us a bit more info...

How is the keyboard hooked up to your system MIDI/USB?
What type of interface (if any) is being used?
What MIDI software is being used?
Are you playing VST instruments that are loaded into a recording program and if so what program?

If you have any MIDI instruments (non computer based) like a synth or sound module, hook the keyboard up to it and see if you hear the delay. If not, then the problem is definitely not the keyboard.

If you don't, try using one of your VST instruments as a standalone instead of within your recording program and see if there is a difference.
